Ninjay Sales Figures provided by Distimo from 3-4-2012 to 3-24-2012

A friend of mine turned my attention to an analytic site that can retrieve and display sales or download numbers and a slew of other information. Here is the combined download figures from March 4, 2012 to March 24, 2012 for both the Android Marketplace or Google Play and the Amazon App Store.

I'll post sales figures again next week most likely on Wednesday.

If you miss the post explaining why these figures are being displayed then please read this post from a few days back:

And as always if you have any further questions feel free to email me at: eighteendaystudios@gmail.com

Or if you have any questions for Mr. Edward Crowder or want to see how you can help directly you can email him at: ecrowder@wakehealth.edu

It's Sunday so enjoy the weekend everyone!

Gumroad Current Sales

Since not everyone has an android device, that means most likely you have an iPhone. And you still want to try and help out? Some unused assets from Ninjay are going to be placed on Gumroad and 100% of the profits made from those sales will go towards the Burn Center at Wake Forest Medical Center!

So once a week I will post screen captures to show sales coming from Gumroad here. Currently I only have two items linked with that service with a few more coming soon too that the proceeds will go towards the facility. I'll also post the links here on the developers blog on the side here. Thank you again!

Amazon Sales from 3-18-12 to 3-20-12

Here is the first snapshot /  screen capture of the sales figures for the Amazon App Store. It displays of course no sales yet from 3-18-12 to 3-22-12. Not sure why it's predicting or displaying that far ahead. But next week in the next snapshot it will cover sales figures from this date and a whole week.

I'm trying to get help with Google on how I can display sales figures without displaying other more private information such as the purchasers name and other things that don't need to be displayed. I'll try and have that posted today if I get a response back from support within Google for developers.

If you missed the last post. 95% of what this studio brings in from the title, Ninjay is going towards the Burn Center at Wake Forest Medical Center to help fund their center. These snapshots or sales records are being shared here to ensure that yes this amount was made and raised and this is how much is getting donated, accountability. And I'm all for being accountable.

I also will use Gumroad to sell assets for people that want to help that don't have android devices. Since this is 100% all me, my work, the Ninjay assets / artwork not used in the game will be sold and 100% of it will go towards the Burn Center. Screen captures of sales on Gumroad will be proof along with a receipt that the Burn Center provides to match it all up.

Please read the post in the WFU Burn Center category for more info. And thank you so much for your support! As always feel free to contact me anytime via email, directly at: eighteendaystudios@gmail.com

Important news!

I'm sorry for being so absent these past few weeks. I have been working on the update for the demo, the Pocket Change version of Ninjay and a big update for the full game. It's a little hard when you're by yourself trying to do too much all at once.

I've had it kind of rough these past few weeks with getting attacked by a dog, recovering from that, getting food poisoning and a slew of other obstacles. However such is life and if we didn't have these things to keep it stirred up once in awhile, life would be or get boring.

But some big news and something I'm excited about! Last week I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Mr. Edward Crowder. He heads the Development section at Wake Forest University Medical Center and handles raising money for one section in particular, the Burn Center. I've been to this center a few times and I have seen the kind of work and challenges they face when treating patients that survive severe life threatening and life altering burns. It takes a special kind of person to do this kind of work and they are always looking for help and assistance.

I was happy to finally meet with Mr. Crowder this afternoon and we had a long talk about my plans and intentions. We had a good meeting and I feel we both left things with a sense of hope that we both can help each other in some way. So here goes! I asked him how can I help? How do we get started? How about accountability on both parts, mine and his. And after those questions got answered, I informed him that I will donate 95% of what the title Ninjay brings in, to the Burn Center, the remainder, 5% of all sales will go to Pedro Alonso for the work he did with the game music.

He explained to me that yes, the Burn Center doesn't get much help so anything is welcome and is much appreciated. Next month I plan on meeting with the staff and physician as Mr. Crowder was happy to arrange that for me.

One concern I stressed to Mr. Crowder that was important to myself, to everyone reading this is and that's wanting to help was:

Accountability - How can we show everyone that the money is going towards where it should be? And this is VERY important because everyone that helps or donates to any charity wants to know that their money is going where it should and not being mismanaged. He didn't object to internal audits and neither do I, from any agency. A receipt will be issued once a month after each check is received or can be requested anytime I need one. This will be scanned in and shared here. Most likely in a new label or category called, WFU Burn Center. So check there to see the progress that's being made to help. A snapshot of how many sales made from the Android Marketplace and Amazon App store will be posted here as well to match up sale numbers and figures. Internal audits are welcome from any agency to ensure everything is good.

What does this mean for the future of this title, Ninjay? Nothing is going to change. Two more episodes are still planned to complete the game. The second and third episode will always be free provided you purchased the first title. The second episode is almost finished and will continue the story and pick up where the first one left off, with new game play mechanics introduced to change things up.

Work on a new title will begin in a few months as well. I can't give any details other than it will be an augmented reality game for the Android and Windows Phone 7 platform. But this will be handled mostly by another programmer that is signing up to join this studio and of course my help as well. There was also someone expressing interest in getting some hands on learning with game development that's still in high school and that is what their dream is too. So that will be in the summer while school is out. I'll iron out the details with that and post more about it when more comes to light. So that will help take a big load off me. It can get hard sometimes just working alone. Some new faces in this studio will, I feel breathe some fresh air and new ideas can flourish from having others to work with.

So with that said and done. I want to thank everyone for their continued support. And if you have ANY questions please feel free to email me directly at: eighteendaystudios@gmail.com

If you have any questions for Mr. Edward Crowder or want to see how you can help directly you can email him at: ecrowder@wakehealth.edu

Again please keep checking back here on progress reports on how much money is getting raised for the Burn Center in the WFU Burn Center category, thank you!

Demo update and Pocket Change news

Was approached by a cool start up company called Pocket Change and jumped on board to try out this new way of monetizing App and Games, I believe they're focused on games currently that uses the same tried and true concept of the old arcade days, each time you play a game it uses a token so any game that supports Pocket Change will be the full version of the game, no ads, just cost a token per play. Get 100 tokens for $1 and play any game that supports this at a low low cost.

Will have it uploaded soon! Along with modifications to the demo so perhaps it won't crash that often on peoples devices.
