Demo

Well Microsoft wants a 8 minute demo of the game to be made available to people before they decide to purchase it. Will have to cut quite a bit out for the demo. And if the file size is larger than 50 MB the price has to be marked higher than my original price point of $1. Let's see what I can shave off here!

The Lord of the Games

I'm sure most of you all have seen the trilogy movie, The Lord of the Rings. Well if not then stop reading and go watch it, NOW!

Spoiler Alert below!

In the Return of the King at the very end when Frodo can't climb the mountain anymore, he's exhausted from their long journey. Sam finally catches up with Frodo and asks him if he can recall a lot of things, like the Shire and so forth and Frodo says no he can't. Sam says I can't carry it for you but I can carry you, really emotional moment in the movie. Picks him up and starts going back up the mountain to where the ring eventually, (20 minutes later), gets destroyed.

I think that's where I'm at right now with making this game. It has been an uphill battle, and the struggles I've had to endure with this game and other things in my life this year. I wouldn't call them burdens, just experiences.

I'm making my way to the top of the mountain now and with the support of everyone around me. This weekend will determine the outcome of Middle Earth, so to speak.

New bugs

Seems like you run into bugs when you try to get something running right. Well maybe tomorrow will be more productive. Still on time though I always figure things out when I need to and work better under pressure anyways. Will try to have some screen shots posted here soon and to all of my family and friends that don't have a 360. I will be sure to compile a version for the PC when the game launches or soon afterwards!

Just got home

Had to make a trip to my most favorite place in Winston, KrispyKreme. I always get a dozen doughnuts but always bring them to eat, I might be able to eat four of and that a few on the way home as well.

Well this week and the weekend will really determine how much I have left for next week. I will be working solid hours here at home with ramen noodle breaks to keep me alive. So if I'm quiet and you don't catch me on facebook or here I'm not dead, just busy getting a lot more done.

Welcome to 18 Day Studios

I've created this blog to get everyone up to date with my game development progress. So keep checking back here on the current Xbox 360 Live Indie Game, called Ninjay. That is set to be released soon and more projects to come!

Take care!
